Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Oncology Clinic. The role involves providing nursing care per medical regimen and established standards, performing assessments, documenting findings, and coordinating patient care with the care team.

You will administer medications and treatments, educate patients and families, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure accurate charting and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and the nursing interventions appropriate for the patients' conditions and according to established standards, policies and procedures including care of the ambulatory practice patient.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis and the functional health framework upon visit.
• Documents assessment, including nursing diagnoses or other clinical judgments.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by the Physician.
• Administers medication, treatments and immunizations.
• Provides patient education and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and nursing interventions per patient condition.
• Completes ongoing assessments and updates nursing diagnoses.
• Documents care and clinical priorities for documentation.
• Responds to medical emergencies and assists with CPR/BLS.
• Maintains patient records and uses computer systems for data entry and retrieval.
