Job summary

ThedaCare in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinically competent care for an assigned patient group in a multi-specialty surgical setting. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs in collaboration with an interprofessional team.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN or be willing to obtain one within five years, hold a Wisconsin RN license, and be certified in Basic Life Support with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required or commitment to obtain within five years; Associate’s Degree in Nursing accepted for those hired prior to 1/23/17.
• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure and American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Cardiology department: ACLS preferred and ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical condition and nursing needs of patients and develop a plan of care with the interprofessional team.
• Plan for patient care to provide high-quality outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise as an RN in the assigned specialty and perform all RN duties.
• Identify ways to improve patient experience, streamline care, and lower costs.
• Mentor, engage, and develop colleagues to retain expert clinicians.
• Consult with physicians and team members to problem-solve and improve care.
• Anticipate and manage risk to prevent crises and respond in emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
