Job summary

Freeman Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain CS, surgical SPD, and endoscopy SPD workflows. You will handle instrument processing, delivery to perioperative services, and ensure compliance with Freeman, state, and federal standards.

The role requires knowledge of sterile processing, inventory control, and at least 1 year in central supply. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer functions and systems.
• Must have working knowledge of inventory management.
• Must have basic knowledge of sterile processing (surgical and endoscopy) and basic knowledge of central supply.
• Experience in central supply and sterile processing of at least 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility CS, surgical SPD, and endoscopy SPD goals.
• Provide supplies to necessary areas and process instruments for internal and external use.
• Maintain inventory, perform daily cycle counts, and review purchase orders to avoid overstock and waste.
• Coordinate replacement of expired or missing consignment products and implement new products into inventories.
• Order stock and non-stock supplies, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Monitor equipment and facilities for damage and arrange repairs or replacements.
• Serve as back up to the CS Coordinator and collaborate with related duties.
