Job summary

AMSURG seeks a Center Administrator for the 32nd Street Surgery Center in Joplin, MO. This full-time role guides daily operations, coordinates with medical directors and staff, and ensures high-quality patient care within regulatory standards.

The administrator oversees credentialing, QA, and vendor management, while leading policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost control in a busy ambulatory surgery setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College/University.
• At least 5 years of healthcare-management experience.
• At least 2–3-year experience in an ASC.
• RN license is preferred.
• BLS certification and ACLS certification.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
• Recognizes and defines problems, collects data, established facts, draws valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Monitors operational activities for effective and efficient management of daily operations
• Works collaboratively with Medical Directors, Board Members, Director of Operations and Clinical Director
• Direct supervision of nursing and patient care
• Oversees medical staff/allied health credentialing and human resources
• Directs and participates in the Center’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI)
• Manages services provided by contracted vendors
• Develops, interprets, and implements policies, procedures, regulations, programs, and recommended practices to meet requirements of regulatory and accrediting organizations. Including but not limited to: infection control, quality improvement, environment of care, and emergency preparedness.
• Monitors and analyzes monthly operating report to promote cost containment and efficient use of Center’s resources
