Job summary

Advocate Health, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Ambulatory Triage. The role focuses on telephone triage, patient assessment, and care coordination within a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years RN experience, ambulatory or triage background, and a BSN is preferred though not required. The position offers day shifts, no weekend coverage, and eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
• Previous ambulatory and/or telephone triage experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs telephone triage with diverse patient population.
• Assesses needed care and collaborates with patients, and others, to provide clinical solutions.
• Provides comprehensive nursing assessment in an untraditional nursing environment.
• Actively participates in team conferences and helps assess patient education needs.
• Notifies each practice, physician, and/or managed care client of all encounters with patients, parents or managed care clients regardless of follow-up needs before office opening.
• Notifies designated leadership of operational concerns.
