Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a specialized Registered Nurse to join ambulatory clinics. You will apply the nursing process, collaborate with providers and support staff, and deliver clinical interventions while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation and patient-centered communication.

The role requires an active PA RN license, BLS, and strong competencies in care coordination, education, and evidence-based practice within a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma required.
• Knowledge of patient-centered practice and ability to collaborate with patient-designated care partners.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Effective communication concepts and delegation within a team.
• Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; professional ethics.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and EMR use.
• RN licensed in Pennsylvania; BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ambulatory care nursing interventions during visits and calls.
• Collaborate with clinic providers to coordinate patient care and timely communication.
• Support implementation of care pathways and participate in quality improvement.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, chronic disease and medication management.
• Document all patient interactions in EMR per standards and regulations.
• Perform care coordination for abnormal results, vaccinations, and follow-ups.
