Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where services will be provided or compact license.
• BSN preferred or ASN/Diploma; BSN must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• Certify in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory settings using the nursing process.
• Perform preliminary patient assessment via observation and chart review.
• Evaluate complex patient care situations and facilitate interventions.
• Apply independent nursing judgment for care provided by self and others.
• Educate patients and families; assess teaching/learning needs and document outcomes.
• Assist in orientation of new employees and contribute to professional development.

Education

Registered Nurse license (state issued or multi-state via eNLC)

Basic Life Support certification within 30 days

Nursing degree: BSN preferred or ASN/Diploma; BSN to be completed within 5 years
