Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by the state of service or a multi-state license via eNLC.
• Must obtain permanent RN licensure within state-specific timelines after graduation (per WV/OH/PA/MD guidelines).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in ambulatory setting based on nursing process and scope of practice.
• Performs initial patient assessment via observation and chart review for appropriate follow-up.
• Evaluates unstable or complex patient care situations and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Implements clinical decisions and utilizes available resources and team support.
• Maintains accountability and uses independent nursing judgment for care provided by self and others.
• Ensures standards of care and practice are followed in delivering patient care.
• Bases decisions on scientific principles, standards of care, and research findings.
• Updates daily care plan with appropriate algorithms for safe patient handling.
• Uses established patient care support systems including documentation and communication.
• Provides educational instruction to patients and families with health care needs.
