Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Olathe is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse Care Coordinator (RN) for Occupational & Workers’ Comp to coordinate cases from intake to clearance for scheduling.

The CNC serves as a liaison among patients, employers, providers, insurers, adjusters, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely processing, and compliance with Work Comp requirements; experience with Epic EMR preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing and active RN license in good standing.
• At least 2 years RN experience.
• Knowledge of basic typing and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow, triage, and direct patient care.
• Liaison between front desk staff, nursing staff, physicians, and clinic manager.
• Develop expected patient outcomes and resource utilization with the provider.
• Provide nursing support to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.
• Support patient self-management of disease.
• Coordinate continuity of patient care with patients and families.
