Job summary

HealthPartners in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Radiology Ambulatory Reception Coordinator to deliver exceptional patient service as the first contact in Radiology. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, handle clerical tasks, and maintain patient records while coordinating with staff, patients, families, and care providers.

This per diem, 0.8 FTE evening/night shift role offers benefits and a competitive hourly salary. It’s based in Saint Paul and non-union.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical, scheduling, and/or customer service experience.
• Degree in healthcare field preferred.
• Experience scheduling radiology appointments is a plus.
• Epic EMR system experience a plus.

Job Description

The Radiology Ambulatory Reception Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors as the first point of contact in the Radiology Department. This position schedules appointments and verifies insurance for all radiology patients and performs clerical and receptionist functions in the Radiology Department, including preparation and maintenance of patient records, and serving as a resource to medical staff regarding hospital protocols. This role is the link between staff, patients, families, and care providers, and between the unit and other hospital departments.

Work Schedule

• Per diem for evening and overnights. Shifts are 130p-10p & 930p-6a weekly.

Required Qualifications

• One year of clerical, scheduling, and/or customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in a healthcare field.
• Experience scheduling radiologic appointments for various modalities including CT, Ultrasound, DEXA, and General Diagnostics.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• One year of Epic electronic medical record system experience.

Additional Information

This is a non-union 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) evening/night shift position located in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $20.13-$30.19 per hour, based on experience and internal equity. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
