Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a Pre-Operative Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in an ambulatory surgical setting in Colorado Springs. The role carries responsibility for patient care under physician orders and adherence to center policies, including equipment and supply management.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate nurse with an active RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications, ready to support pre-operative workflows and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops and implements total nursing care for the pre-operative patient.
• Records and reports changes in patient conditions to appropriate persons.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Cares for pre-operative patients according to facility policies.
• Reviews pre-operative charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures pre-operative consent and workups are in the chart.
• Administers pre-operative sedation.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintains supplies and cleanliness in the work environment.
