Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Practice Supervisor to manage day-to-day front-end operations of an ambulatory practice in New York. This role enforces front-end policies, oversees reception and clerical functions, and guides staffing to meet Patients First service standards while addressing patient concerns and feedback.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, supporting reporting, developing training materials, and ensuring data integrity and appropriate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, supervisory role, and healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and assists staff with day-to-day activities including clinic and physician scheduling, call volumes and surge trends, with adherence to service standards.
• Review staff appointment scheduling for accuracy to maintain right appointment at the right time with the right physician.
• Assist in the preparation of daily, monthly and year-end reporting.
• Assist in creating training materials and scheduling guidelines, with continued training of staff on scheduling appointments.
• Maintain high quality levels of customer service and data integrity in patient calls management and related software procedures.
• Provide next level guidance with escalated MyChart calls.
• Ensure appropriate reimbursement for services and plan orientation and in-service training for staff on verification and co-pay collection.
