Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a System Professional Practice Nurse Lead to support Ambulatory Specialty Care Clinics across the metro and surrounding areas. The role focuses on expert nursing practice, leading practice changes, and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve patient safety, quality, and staff experience.

The position is a 1.0 FTE with day shifts, no weekends, and opportunities to influence practice across multiple clinics within the system.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MN RN license required.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads work, processes, and people to design, implement, and evaluate innovative evidence-based interventions to optimize patient safety and care quality.
• Evaluates patient care against professional standards and disseminates findings to improve outcomes.
• Collaborates in developing nursing guidelines, performance standards, policies, and procedures across the continuum of care.
• Provides leadership to promote the organizational professional governance model for nursing practice excellence.
• Builds cross-functional teams and supports system-wide nursing practice improvements.
