Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an experienced ambulatory care leader to manage daily operations of the Internal Medicine Clinic and telehealth nursing. You will oversee staffing, patient flow, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding a diverse team of RNs, LPNs, and MAs.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include nursing degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) or health-related field plus RN diploma/AD with ability to obtain BS/BA within 5 years
• Five or more years of ambulatory care experience
• Three or more years in ambulatory care clinical leadership
• Experience in project management focusing on building effective healthcare teams
• Minnesota nursing license (RN or APN) or equivalent combination of education/experience

Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinical operations in ambulatory care to ensure staff competency and efficient patient flow
• Assess staffing needs, complete staffing requests, review applicant paperwork, and interview candidates
• Oversee onboarding and orientation for clinical staff with ambulatory education coordinators
• Conduct and document staff performance reviews per guidelines
• Monitor clinical competencies and develop training plans for deficits
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and best practice standards within clinical areas
• Promote patient safety and high-quality patient-centered care
• Collaborate with staff to optimize clinic operations and maintain a congenial work environment
