Job summary

The Senior Practice Manager at Intermountain Health provides leadership for ambulatory care operations, promoting accountability, safety, quality, and patient experience across 10–30 physicians and 23–60 caregivers in 3–7 clinics. Travel may be needed to support multiple specialties and markets, with 1–4 direct reports to mentor.

Responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, budget stewardship, and collaboration with human resources and information systems to optimize care

Qualifications

• Leadership experience and ability to inspire accountability and teamwork.
• Develops vision for practice and executes plans to achieve it.
• Experience in a matrixed organization with influence over non-direct reports.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and coach front office staff.
• Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases.
• Problem solving and addressing physician, employee and patient concerns.

Responsibilities

• Lead ambulatory care operations and culture of accountability.
• Oversee patient safety, quality assurance, patient experience, and access to care.
• Manage budget, financial stewardship, and growth initiatives.
• Hire, evaluate performance, coach, and take corrective action as needed.
• Support ancillary services like HR and information systems.
