Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Practice Manager to lead ambulatory care operations within the Digestive Health department. You will drive accountability, improve patient experience, and ensure safety and quality across clinics.

The role includes budget stewardship, staff coaching, and collaboration with HR and IS to support practice growth. Strong leadership in a healthcare setting and matrixed organization experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience inspiring a culture of accountability and teaming.
• Develops vision for practice and executes plans to achieve vision.
• Experience in a matrixed organization and ability to influence non-direct reports to meet department goals
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise, and coach front office staff.
• Strong computer skills, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and advanced applications (databases/presentations).
• Ability to problem solve and address issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients.
• Experience managing a department budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and create a culture of accountability for ambulatory care operations.
• Make employment decisions including hiring, performance evaluations, coaching and corrective actions.
• Support safety, quality, patient experience, equity, and patient access to care.
• Oversee budget management and financial stewardship; engage caregiver performance and growth.
• Assist ancillary services such as human resources and information systems.
