Job summary

Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center, part of Cleveland Clinic, seeks a Pharmacy Technician – Ambulatory to support a high-volume outpatient pharmacy. At Beachwood Family Health Center, caregivers fill approximately 500–800 prescriptions per day, working with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and timely processing in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPhT certification through PTCB or NHA required at hire.
• Active OBOP registration as CPT/Registered/Technician at hire.
• If not CPT, must update OBOP to CPT within 6 months.
• Formal pharmacy technician training preferred.
• Hospital experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and support for the pharmacist.
• Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
• Maintain outpatient pharmacy inventory.
• Assist with extemporaneous and bulk compounding of prescriptions and OTC items.
• Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
• Monitor reorder points and restock prescription and non-prescription areas.
• Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.
