Prime Healthcare Olympia Fields Hospital seeks an Ambulatory Medication Access and Referral Coordinator to support ambulatory pharmacy workflows, including referral review, patient scheduling, data integrity, and insurance authorization across diverse plans.

Ideal candidates have a pharmacy technician license, CPhT, 3+ years in ambulatory care or 340B, EMR proficiency, and strong communication to coordinate with providers, pharmacies, payers, and patients to ensure timely access to medications.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Current IL pharmacy technician license in good standing is required.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in ambulatory care, specialty pharmacy, or 340B settings is required.
Proficiency in EMR systems and insurance authorization platforms is required.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level support to Ambulatory Services Team across ambulatory pharmacy workflows.
Review and process referrals, schedule patients, and maintain data records of activities and outcomes.
Evaluate insurance to assist with medication access and navigate 340B program requirements.
Coordinate with providers, pharmacies, payers, and patients to streamline access and reduce financial barriers.
Maintain accurate EMR records of activities to ensure coordination of care.
Assist with establishing workflows for new ambulatory service departments and validate maintenance at existing departments.
Ensure timely medication access through insurance authorizations and patient outreach.
