Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Ambulatory Pharmacy Clinical Specialist - Pediatrics to provide patient-centered pharmacotherapy services in the ambulatory clinic. Under supervision, you will optimize drug therapy for pediatric patients, prevent drug-related issues, and deliver education to patients, physicians, nurses and students.

You will lead quality improvement projects, coordinate formulary activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited school.
• MA pharmacist license in good standing by start date.
• PGY1 ambulatory or PGY2 pediatric residency or equivalent ambulatory experience.
• Pediatric ambulatory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality improvement projects.
• Maintain professional competency through continued education.
• Precept residents and students and participate in orientation.
• Assist with formulary management and guidelines.
• Document and monitor therapy in the EMR; analyze data.
• Provide patient education and counseling; collaborate with clinicians.
