Job summary

Triangle Surgery Center in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced perioperative leader to oversee the Operating Room department, partnering with physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the role focuses on workflow coordination, staff development, regulatory compliance, and engagement across the OR team to sustain clinical excellence and service quality.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum three years of perioperative experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current CST certification preferred.
• BLS required.
• Minimum three years of perioperative experience.
• Prior leadership, charge, coordinator, or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily Operating Room activities and staffing
• Supporting efficient case flow, block utilization, and productivity
• Assisting with staff onboarding, training, and development
• Collaborating with physicians and vendors regarding equipment and supply needs
• Monitoring inventory, instrumentation, and equipment availability
• Participating in performance improvement and quality initiatives
• Supporting compliance with accreditation, infection prevention, and patient safety standards
• Addressing operational concerns and facilitating problem resolution
• Participating in department and leadership meetings
• Serving as a resource to staff and providers
• Demonstrate leadership and communication skills
• Possess excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Be highly collaborative and team-oriented
• Understand perioperative workflow and patient safety principles
• Build positive relationships with physicians and staff
• Thrive in a dynamic ambulatory surgery environment
