Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience within the past 10 years preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient care respects rights and promotes confidentiality and privacy.
• Acts as staff and patient advocate to ensure care aligns with expectations.
• Supports quality improvement and systems-thinking; collaborates on policies and procedures to improve care and efficiency.
• Promotes a culture of safety by complying with hospital policies and infection control; coordinates QC/PI activities.
• Audits and maintains clinic metrics for unit and organizational goals.
• Collaborates with the Nurse Manager on hiring and performance management.
• Plans, schedules, and organizes work to ensure proper delegation of assignments and efficient use of staff and facilities.
• Maintains unit inventory and supplies.
• Supports management reports and budgetary recommendations.
• Performs competency for point of care testing per policy and state/federal regulations.
