Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Nursing Manager to oversee patient care delivery and nursing practice standards within the unit, directing staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires strong clinical leadership, supervisory experience, and budget management in an acute care setting.

Preferred background includes Oncology or Infusion Center experience, chemotherapy administration, and a Bachelor's in Nursing. Must hold a California RN license and BLS; ability to work variable shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Minimum 3 years experience working in Oncology or Infusion Center
• Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements present in an acute care setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated supervisory experience working in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated experience with budgetary processes including establishing, maintaining, and reporting income, expenses, and variances
• Current California RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Complete understanding of acuity levels for the patient population
• Chemotherapy administration experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Provide management and leadership for delivery of patient care and nursing standards
• Direct all staff and functions in the unit while maintaining clinical nursing practice and unit expertise
• Ensure high quality patient care and regulatory compliance
