Job summary

Responsibilities include assessing learning needs, guiding staff toward competency, and promoting evidence-based practice through in-services and committee participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and five years of recent ambulatory clinical experience are required.
• Experience in training adult learners in healthcare settings is important.
• Knowledge of standards from The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and Alabama Nurse Practice Act is required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and common office software is expected.
• MSN or Ambulatory Care Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills educator role in ambulatory clinical service areas and assesses learning needs.
• Leads staff education activities, provides feedback, and develops competencies.
• Serves as change agent to implement evidence-based practice and quality indicators.
• Mentors staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
• Performs other duties related to education, staff orientation, and program development.
