Qualifications

• English Language Proficiency required for direct patient care
• Registered nursing license in US state or territory
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with ACEN/CCNE accreditation
• Possession of foreign nursing education degree equivalency validation may be required
• Bridge program pathway candidates may be considered for temporary appointment
• Mandatory state licensure and accreditation standards are met

Responsibilities

• Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care based on age-specific components
• Coordinates care with education, self-management and patient satisfaction across the continuum
• Influences outcomes by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and pursuing improvement initiatives
• Participates in unit/program level quality improvement and customer service programs
