Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse Manager for the Nurse Call Center, days, full-time. This role oversees nursing practice for ambulatory patients across designated areas, providing clinical supervision, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

Responsibilities include optimizing patient flow, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and participating in budgeting and procurement for the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Nursing (required).
• High School diploma (required).
• 5+ years of clinical experience in the ambulatory/practice area (required).
• Master degree in Nursing (preferred).
• 1+ year of nursing leadership (preferred).
• 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
• Active RN license in state of residence or multistate license with active status (required).
• BLS certification (required or within 14 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Achieve business and organizational goals and oversee delivery of ambulatory nursing care.
• Supervise clinical team and ensure top of licensure practice.
• Collaborate with departments to maintain patient care standards and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance programs.
• Assist with budget development and inventory management.
• Promote staff development and contribute to research activities.
