UHA University Health Associates is seeking Advanced Practice Professionals (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) for ambulatory neurosurgery. The position supports coordinated outpatient care for neurosurgery patients.

The APP collaborates with physicians, nurses, and staff to assess, diagnose, and manage plans of care, while educating trainees and ensuring compliance with professional standards across the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required with ALS as needed.

Responsabilités

• Manages outpatient neurosurgery patient care coordination and follow-up.
• Performs and documents diagnostic/therapeutic procedures within scope.
• Collaborates with neurosurgery faculty and clinic/hospital staff.
• Develops comprehensive care plans and communicates plans with the team.
• Educates residents and medical/nursing students.
• Documents care plans and outcomes in the medical record.
