Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care, collecting health data and assisting clinicians in a fast-paced Family Practice setting. You will obtain vitals, prepare patients for exams, and help communicate care plans to patients under supervision.

Candidates should be a graduate of an MA program or have CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/RMA certification, with BLS required within six months. Benefits include a strong team environment and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or completion of equivalent coursework within 12 months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant if education is not met at hire.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment and recertification as required.
• Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA) or equivalent (CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/RMA) is preferred.
• For ND, MAIII registration required within 4 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Observe and report patient signs or symptoms to the provider.
• Contribute data to the patient’s plan of care under supervision.
• Communicate the provider’s instructions to patients or caregivers.
