Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant (Ambulatory) to support ambulatory care with vital signs, exam prep, and patient data collection under the supervision of licensed providers.

The role requires graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program and may require BLS certification within six months. Two years of MA experience is required if education is not met at hire; National MA credentials are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required if education is not met at time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant functions within the ambulatory care setting under defined scope of practice guidelines.
• Collects subjective and objective health data from patients or caregivers and transmits this to the care provider.
• Assist in care across the lifespan, including vital signs, exam preparation, and point of care testing.
