Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years of MA experience in ambulatory care required; Family Practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients by taking vital signs and documenting results.
• Administer medications/immunizations under provider direction.
• Draw blood and perform in-house lab tests per CLIA waivers.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during visits/procedures.
• Document all patient services in the EHR and schedule referrals as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and clinical areas.
