Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers across ambulatory care settings in our San Diego facilities. The role involves preparing patients, assisting during examinations, recording information in the EHR, and helping maintain a clean, efficient clinic flow.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant diploma, HS diploma, CPR certification, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma from an approved course is required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Equivalent education/experience meeting state/federal certification requirements.
• Current CPR certification (BLS) or equivalent advanced life support required.
• Ability and means to travel within San Diego County as needed.
• Driver requirements: age 21+, 3+ years licensed, clean driving record.
• At least 1 year ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for examinations and assists providers as needed.
• Keeps sites in compliance with applicable requirements and policies.
• Performs phlebotomy and related duties as assigned.
• Records patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• May administer medications or injections and assist with specimens.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment.
• Assists with clinic flow, scheduling, referrals, and discharge instructions.
• Travels to locations as needed to support clinic productivity.
