Alameda Health System is hiring a Medical Assistant-Ambulatory for the Hayward Wellness Center. The role performs clinical and clerical support under supervision, including preparing patients, assisting clinicians, collecting specimens, and coordinating care.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited MA program and will obtain MA certification within 6 months; BLS is required. This on-site position belongs to the Allied Health department and supports clinic operations daily.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a certified/accredited medical assistant program.
• Acquire MA certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist clinician with patient care and ensure proper consents.
• Collect specimens and prepare for testing.
• Greet patients and prepare examination rooms.
• Register patients and manage appointments in the AHS system.
• Perform phlebotomy including venipuncture.
• Provide patient-centered care and coordinate referrals.
