Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for Ambulatory Internal care at San Leandro location. Under supervision, you will provide clinical support, front office clerical tasks, and basic testing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a certified/accredited medical assistant program.
• One year of outpatient experience preferred.
• Active Medical Assistant certification within 6 months of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with patient care, measurements, and basic testing.
• Greet and prepare patients, manage registrations and appointments.
• Perform phlebotomy including venipuncture and finger-stick.
• Provide patient instructions and coordinate referrals and tests.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Support performance improvement and quality control activities.
