Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Must hold current medical assistant certification.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient/ambulatory settings.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, record history, and measure vital signs.
• Collect, perform, document, and report CLIA-waived lab tests.
• Collect and document specimen collection (blood, urine, stool, sputum).
• Assist providers during exams or procedures and prepare rooms.
• Prepare charts per schedule and administer medications/injections.
• Participate in orientation and work as part of the care team.
