Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support safe, high-quality care across ambulatory settings. Under supervision of licensed providers, you will perform direct patient care, assist with clinical operations, and support care coordination to maintain smooth daily workflows.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, performing vital signs, assisting with EKGs and specimen collection, and documenting in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• 0-1 years of related patient care experience preferred or associate’s degree or higher in lieu of MA experience.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• MA/EMT/CNA/LNA certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for visits; take and document vital signs and intake information.
• Support clinical procedures (e.g., EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
• Maintain clean, stocked, and ready exam rooms.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR per clinical guidelines.
• May assist with scheduling, check-in, referrals, and patient instructions.
