Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ, is seeking a nonexempt Medical Assistant to support physicians and providers in ambulatory settings. The role involves greeting patients, rooming, vitals, history review, and EMR documentation with accuracy and courtesy.

Under supervision, you will assist with scheduling, specimen handling, vaccines, and coordinating patient outreach, while delivering high-quality service aligned with our mission and values.

Qualificações

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship in a medical office.
• Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and guests using AIDET principles.
• Room patients, document vitals, reason for visit, medications, and patient history in EMR.
• Enter orders and notes in EMR; process insurance forms, precertifications and authorizations.
• May administer vaccines and document appropriately.
• Assist physicians/providers with monitoring and reporting lab results.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and testing.
