Job summary

Sanford Health Marsh Minocqua Center in Minocqua, WI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant, Non-Certified (MA) to support ambulatory care services. The role includes vital signs, exam preparation, and data collection under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or successful completion of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology and Pharmacology within 12 months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required if education is not met at time of hire.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment; recertification as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients and communicate to the provider.
• Contribute data to the patient’s plan of care under provider guidance.
• Transmit provider’s instructions for care to patient or caregiver.
• Care for patients across the lifespan in prevention, health maintenance, treatment and follow-up.
• Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, observe and report signs or symptoms, and perform point of care testing.
