Job summary

Sanford Health in Eau Claire seeks a Medical Assistant (Ambulatory) to support ambulatory care teams. You will collect patient data, prepare for exams, perform point-of-care testing, and relay information to providers under supervision.

The role spans preventive care and ongoing management across all ages. The MA position requires graduation from a recognized MA program, BLS certification within six months, and possible MA credentialing (CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/RMA).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or completion of equivalent coursework within 12 months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant if education not met at time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment; re-certification as required.
• Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA) or MAIII registration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health status data and communicate to the provider.
• Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Perform point-of-care testing and assist in care across the lifespan.
• Follow the provider's written instructions for patient care and participate in care plans.

Education

Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months
