Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a caring Medical Assistant (MA) for its ambulatory nursing team in Marshfield, WI. You will assist with patient care across ages, collect health data, and support physicians and nurse practitioners during in-office procedures.

Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program and nationally certified or registered. BLS is required within six months, with state registrations as applicable. Sanford Health offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• National certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (MA) is required or preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients and communicate to providers.
• Follow the patient’s plan of care under supervision of a provider.
• Communicate provider instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Assist in care across lifespan in all phases of preventive care and treatment.
• Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for exams, observe and report symptoms, perform point-of-care testing.
