Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support ambulatory care teams in South Milwaukee, WI. The role involves patient intake, vital signs, exam preparation, injections, vaccines, and specimen handling in a supportive clinic environment.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7am–6:30pm, with a pay range reflecting MA and LPN qualifications. Benefits eligible with comprehensive MPI reward offerings.

Qualifications

• LPN license issued by state where practice occurs.
• MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days unless exempted.
• Completion of an accredited MA program or 2 years of verifiable MA experience in last 5 years.
• LPN: Advanced training beyond high school in Practical Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
