Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for ambulatory care in Marshfield, WI. The MA will collect health data from patients, support the care team, and help implement the provider’s plan of care during all phases of patient interaction.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and performing point‑of‑care testing under the supervision of licensed staff. BLS certification is required within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or completion of equivalent coursework within 12 months of hire.
• Two years of MA experience if education is not met at time of hire.
• BLS certification within six months of employment; re-certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients or caregivers and relay to the provider.
• Contribute data to the provider’s plan of care and communicate care instructions to patients.
• Support care across the lifespan in preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow‑up.
• Perform duties under supervision of a licensed clinician, including vitals, patient prep for exams, and point‑of‑care testing.
