Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a physician’s office under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. The MA may perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions as needed.

Required: graduate of an accredited MA program with CMA/RMA certification (EMT acceptable in lieu). Must show initiative, multitask well, and work as part of a team. May float to other UFHP practices to cover staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with CMA or RMA preferred.
• One year of direct patient care in ambulatory settings is preferred.
• Initiative, multitasking ability, and teamwork are essential.
• Ability to problem-solve in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct responsibility of a licensed physician.
• Perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions as needed.
• May float to other UFHP practices to support staffing needs.
