Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program (CAAHP or ABHES).
• Must obtain one of CMA, RMA, NCMA, CMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or NPCE MA certifications within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, email, MS Office).
• Ability to read, write and understand English; effective communication with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and complete required documentation.
• Coordinate schedules for procedures, labs, imaging, and surgeries.
• Educate patients and families based on discharge plans and assessment needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to Trinity Health policies.
