Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide patient care and education in ambulatory clinics under the supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or other licensed provider. The LVN will apply nursing processes to meet physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs.

The role focuses on coordinating care among healthcare team members to optimize patient understanding of their condition and care requirements within the LVN scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required.
• Experience in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LVN provides patient care and education under the direct supervision of an RN, AP RN, PA, physician, dentist or podiatrist.
• Coordinates care between healthcare team members to support patient understanding and care requirements.
