Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic in Riverside, CA seeks an Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support clinical offices based on need. The LVN will assist in examination and treatment, take vital signs, and help educate patients while maintaining infection control and aseptic procedures.

Qualifications include a California LVN license, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of ambulatory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records prior to visit to ensure chart readiness.
• Interview patients; measure vital signs and record data.
• Prepare treatment room and assist physician with procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and families; gain cooperation.
• Administer treatments and perform routine labs under supervision.
• Initiate IV lines and manage IV fluids where certified.
• Complete documentation; ensure physician orders are carried out.
• Inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
• Discard expired medications and supplies per policy.
• Operate within LVN scope of practice and clinic policies.
• Provide support to Medical Assistants and maintain licensure.
