Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support clinical offices in the Riverside area. The LVN will assist physicians, take vital signs, document charges, and educate patients while upholding infection control and aseptic techniques.

Requirements include a California LVN license, HS diploma, and at least 1 year in ambulatory care; BLS and IV certification, with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current California LVN license.
• Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
• One year of ambulatory care experience.
• Current IV certification, BLS and ACLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records prior to visit to ensure chart readiness.
• Interview patients; measure vital signs and record information.
• Prepare exam room and assist physician with procedures; sterilize equipment.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and their families.
• Administer treatments and perform routine labs under supervision.
• Initiate IV lines and manage IV fluids as directed.
• Complete documentation and ensure chart is signed and filed.
• Inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
• Maintain infection control and LVN scope of practice.
• Maintain licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications.
