Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of experience in the specialty area or completion of a formal course in the specialty within the established timeframe.
• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license; BLS from American Heart Association; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate to be obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and services to patients and families.
• Delegate nursing care according to legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Administer medications and perform nursing tasks requiring knowledge and skill.
• Teach LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care.
• Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care.
• Function as primary nurse and total patient caregiver.
• Serve as resource nurse and act as preceptor.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
• Maintain clinical expertise and competency necessary for job responsibilities.
