• Delegate tasks to LPNs and nursing assistants per guidelines.
• Utilize the nursing process to plan and deliver care.
• Administer medications and intradermal local anesthetic for IV placement as appropriate.
• Teach LPNs and nursing assistants special tasks of nursing care.
• Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care.
• Function as primary nurse/total patient caregiver.
• Serve as resource nurse and act as preceptor.
• Perform administrative duties and accept responsibility as assigned.
• Maintain clinical expertise and competency necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
