Job summary
Kaiser Permanente Hawaii is seeking a skilled nurse to provide comprehensive care to patients and families. The role includes directing LPNs and nursing staff, administering medications, and acting as a resource nurse and preceptor.
The position requires a Hawaii RN license, BLS/ACLS credentials, and a commitment to Kaiser values. Ambulatory or inpatient experience and PICC line certification within one year are preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii).
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
- ACLS within 12 months of hire (American Heart Association).
- Ambulatory Treatment Center PICC line certification within one year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care and services to patients/families.
- Delegates nursing tasks to nursing assistive personnel and directs the LPN as appropriate.
- Utilizes nursing process to deliver care.
- Administers medications.
- Teaches LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care.
- Verifies staff competency to perform tasks as appropriate.
- Functions as primary nurse/total patient caregiver.
- Serves as resource nurse and acts as preceptor.
- Takes charge duties as assigned.
- Incorporates Kaiser Vision, Model and Values through out Nursing Practice.
- Performs administrative duties and maintains licensure and clinical competency.
