Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group, Inc. seeks a dedicated infection prevention professional to shape prevention practices across 200+ ambulatory sites.

Collaborate with frontline teams and leadership to reduce infection risk and improve patient and staff safety. The role covers surveillance, outbreak investigations, NHSN reporting, and Environment of Care rounds, with education and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or related field required.
• Master’s degree in Infection Control, Public Health, Epidemiology or related field preferred.
• RN license strongly preferred.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or obtain within 2 years of start date.
• At least three years of clinical healthcare experience required.
• Ambulatory and/or hospital infection prevention experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with NHSN and other surveillance systems for healthcare-associated infections required.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to infection control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infection prevention across 200+ ambulatory sites within the Mass General Brigham system.
• Conduct surveillance, outbreak investigations, NHSN and non-NHSN reporting.
• Provide infection prevention education to clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Collaborate with Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Compliance, and Facilities.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while reducing infection risk.
