Job summary

This leadership role oversees a team, partners with clinical leaders, quality teams, and other departments, and prepares for inspections while driving quality improvements

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards, regulations, and guidelines (CDC, OSHA, The Joint Commission).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage infection control programs, policies, and procedures to comply with regulatory standards.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret infection data and present findings to leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Lead and mentor a team of infection preventionists, providing coaching and evaluations.
• Design and deliver training programs for staff on infection prevention practices.
• Work with clinical leaders and quality teams to integrate infection control practices and support quality improvement.
• Maintain compliance with infection control regulations and prepare for inspections, audits, and surveys.
• Lead investigations of infection outbreaks and implement mitigation measures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on best practices.
